Dennis has more than 20 years of industry and strategy consultancy experience and a proven track record in building, developing and transforming high performing organizations. He served as Senior Vice President Strategy and Business Excellence for Takeda Pharmaceuticals. His proven expertise lies in analysing key business drivers and developing comprehensive go-to market strategies for different business areas from early stage to end of lifecycle including organizational capability development.
He successfully led cross-functional/multi-country teams in launching 10+ specialty- and primary care assets in various therapeutic areas covering Oncology, Inflammation, CNS, Respiratory, Cardiovascular/Metabolic. He was directing a region spanning 15 countries and transforming the region’s commercial model leveraging Digital and “beyond the pill” patient services leading to significant improvement of patient- and customer experience.
He is very passionate about translating clinical innovation and the emerging convergence of health and digital technologies into integrated, innovative platforms that addresses the increasing demand of the various healthcare stakeholders to drive value-based healthcare and improve outcome of patients.
Prior to joining Takeda he spent some years in strategic consulting helping clients in areas like Portfolio Strategy, Commercial -/Launch Excellence, Innovation Excellence, Turnaround Management and Post-Merger Integration.
Dennis began his career in the pharmaceutical industry with Sanofi-Aventis where he held positions of increasing responsibility in Sales, Marketing, and Business Operations. Dennis earned a master’s degree in Biochemistry from the Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen.
